Currently, she is a lead researcher at the Faculty of Medicine of University of Porto and RISE-Health, being responsible for several simulation-based pre- and post-graduation courses and national/international research studies. Lance also advises the Board of the non-profit organization SimGHOSTS.org, which he also founded in 2011. The Gathering of Healthcare Simulation Technology Specialists (SimGHOSTS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which provides online resources and annual hands-on training events to healthcare professionals around the world, including events hosted by: Mohammed Bin Rashid Medical Center Dubai, Cedars-Sinai Women’s Guild Simulation Center Los Angeles, GAPS Center London, Clinical Skills Development Service Brisbane, and SingHealth Singapore. In early 2017, Lance helped SIMCharacters with the Global launch of Pre-term infant Simulator Paul, producing his first “viral” campaign with over 9M views. He resides in Las Vegas with his wife Dr. Abigail Baily and three young children. He enjoys being a new father, global travel, hiking, video gaming, scuba diving and filmmaking.
