The NEIL AND ELISE WALLACE STRATUS (Simulation, Training, Research And Technology Utilization System) Center for Medical Simulation at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, is a world-renowned clinical simulation center. In addition to serving the BWH and Mass General Brigham communities, we provide a wide range of programs for external users, community education, Center and equipment rentals, international consulting, and pursue a robust research agenda.

Mission: The STRATUS Center is committed to advancing health professional education, patient safety, and healthcare outcomes through the development and application of innovative curricula, educational methodologies, quality improvement, and multidisciplinary research, supported by a world-class operational infrastructure.

Vision: The STRATUS Center will be a world leader in transforming patient safety and care through innovative simulation education, research, assessment, and quality improvement.

Accreditation: The STRATUS Center is accredited by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) as a Comprehensive Education Institute and the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) for our core work, as well as Research, Systems Integration, and Teaching/Education. STRATUS also has full accreditation in the areas of Research, Teaching/Education, Systems Integration and Fellowship Program by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare.
