Although Pediatrics are a small portion of the EMS curricula, in the field, this patient population is definitely high acuity, low occurrence (HALO). I like…

      • @Carriexx55 That is great! I used to work in the hospital setting and taught NRP, PALS, and the STABLE program while I was there. It is great to get people on the same page with practice and also meet people from the outlying areas that come for the programs. Thanks

    • Hello, fellow Simulationists! I hope everyone is staying safe and well wherever you are. Here in North Carolina, my family and I are enjoying some unexpected snow days—staying warm at home and making the most of the beauty outside. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to attend IMSH this year, but I’d love to hear from those who did. For those of you…

      • @Jessica I was able to go this year and had a full plate. I really enjoyed co-emceeing the Technology Forum with Bob Armstrong. There were many insightful conversations about how we move collaboration between industry and users, as well as the importance of continued, systematic investment in healthcare simulation to improve team performance… Read more

        • I don’t know if you have considered this, but turning them into amputees and include them in your sessions to introduce diversity might be a thought. That’s if they still function.

          • Do you happen to know anyone with a 3D Printer? If not, we would love help out. We print replacement parts for our trainers all the time. We even printed out an entire leg as part of a project. Let us know if you would like to pursue this route.

            • @Kirk thank you for responding. Our Dean of Nursing has a 3D printer but she did say that she does not know how to use it.

I have heard this being done for certain things, but I did not know it could be used to replace limbs of manikins. wow! Would love to hear more about your experience in doing this.
