He holds a PhD in Medicine from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2002) and a degree in Medicine from the Itajubá School of Medicine (FMIT) in 1987. He is currently a professor at FMIT, acting as a Tutor of Surgical Clinic I. He is a member of the Ethics Committee on the Use of Animals (CEUA) and the FMIT Extension Center. He is enrolled in the Afya Medical Education Postgraduate Course in Advanced Simulation and Active Methodologies in Health (360 hours) and is studying the Lato Sensu specialization in Neuroscience Applied to Education (EAD) at the School of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo. He completed his postgraduate degree in Neuroscience and Behavior (363 hours) at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) in 2023 and the postgraduate course “Modern Education: Methodologies, Trends and Focus on the Student” (2020), also at PUCRS. He has a degree in Biomedical Engineering from the National Institute of Telecommunications (INATEL). He has experience in the field of Medicine, with an emphasis on Surgery, Surgical Technique, Experimental Surgery and teaching Human Anatomy.
