Abstract:
This CE webinar session will explore the development and implementation of a generative AI-powered telephone triage nursing simulation designed to strengthen telehealth competencies among pre-licensure nursing students. As remote patient care becomes increasingly integral to nursing practice, preparing students for effective telephone triage is critical. This CE presentation will share findings from a recent study examining the impact of this AI-based nurse simulation on student self-efficacy. Attendees will learn about the clinical simulation design, key outcomes, including statistically significant improvements in self-efficacy, and student feedback on using Artificial Intelligence as a learning tool. Implications for integrating AI simulations into nursing education and workforce training will also be discussed.
Learning Objectives:
- Describe the design and implementation of a generative AI-powered telephone triage nursing simulation used in pre-licensure nursing education.
- Examine the impact of AI-based nursing simulation on nursing students’ self-efficacy in telehealth and triage competencies.
- Discuss the implications of integrating generative AI simulations into nursing curricula and workforce development strategies.
