Abstract:
Do standard measures of course achievement equal competence? Within this presentation we will discuss the transition toward competency-based healthcare education and assessment. We will describe the lessons learned working alongside 12 medical, nursing, and allied health educational institutions and accrediting bodies, supporting 1200+ stakeholder groups, as they tackled competency mapping and tracking across multiple data points and accreditation standards. The discussion will demonstrate how to align your institutionโs curriculum map with required competencies to illustrate learner performance, identify learning gaps, and remediation requirements across educational and workforce institutions.
