Abstract:
This CE webinar presentation showcases an engaging three-part end-of-life nursing simulation that empowers undergraduate nursing students to practice compassionate communication and essential clinical skills in a psychologically safe environment. The experience features a standardized patient encounter focused on therapeutic dialogue, a high-fidelity scenario recognizing signs of imminent death, and a mannequin-based session for performing post-mortem care. A reflective group debrief encourages open discussion about emotions and the RNโs role in end-of-life care. Nursing students reported increased confidence, deeper understanding, and appreciation for applying classroom concepts in a realistic, supportive setting. Lessons learned and implementation tips will help attendees adapt this impactful experience to their programs.
