Julie has worked in Aging Services for over three decades. Most of those years were spent in skilled nursing, and in 1990, she obtained her Illinois Nursing Home Administrator’s license and moved into management and executive-level positions, with the last fifteen years as CEO for a northwest side Chicago nursing and rehab community. In February 2020 she joined the AGE-u-cate® Training Institute team and is now the Vice President of Workforce Development Initiatives. Julie calls upon her experience on the front lines to assist with developing and delivering training curricula for aging services providers and writes grants so that certified nursing facilities can access AGE-u-cate programs at no cost through the federally funded CMP grant program.
Julie has a bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Studies from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL, and a master’s degree in Public Administration/Healthcare from Roosevelt University in Chicago. She lives in the Northwest Chicago suburb of Schaumburg, Ill.
