As a Program Chair in Clinical Programming and Simulation at Bow Valley College, she is the architect of one of the largest nursing simulation programs in Canada. The Bow Valley College Practical Nursing Simulation Program prepares over 700 students each semester for clinical practice before they ever step into a hospital. Under Clare’s leadership, the program has become a national benchmark in VR integration, training more than 2,500 students and 30 faculty to date. Clare continues to push the boundaries of healthcare education through cutting-edge simulation strategies that shape the future of nursing. Her research is driven by a commitment to producing meaningful, actionable insights in simulation-based education, with a distinct focus on elevating the learning experiences of often-overlooked student populations—particularly practical nursing students.
