Abstract:
In this session, Hillary Oliver and members of the Education Management Solutions (EMS) team will share how the University of Texas at Tyler’s expanding medical simulation program uses non-traditional teaching methods to help learners demonstrate clinical judgment under pressure. Attendees will gain insight into UT Tyler’s innovative, team-driven approach to improving both learner outcomes and program efficiency. The session will also address the challenges encountered during program growth and how the clinical simulation team has successfully navigated them using the SIMULATIONiQ platform from Education Management Solutions.
Join Hillary and Education Management Solutions to explore how non-traditional teaching strategies, paired with SIMULATIONiQ, are transforming simulation-based education at UT Tyler and strengthening healthcare students’ ability to think critically in clinical practice.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify non-traditional teaching methods that help learners demonstrate clinical judgement under pressure.
- Explore how Hillary’s team addressed common challenges in clinical simulation.
- Learn how EMS’ SIMULATIONiQ solution is used by UT Tyler to enhance program efficiency and learner outcomes.
