Simulation Technology Specialists Group 8 months agoDid anyone do anything for Sim Week? We had an open house with treats and games – guess the number of Hershey’s kisses and try to figure out the rebus while wearing eye pathology glasses. We also showed off our new pediatric HAL. People love the eye and head movements!

Simulation Technology Specialists Group 8 months agoI hope everyone had an amazing summer! I don’t know about ya’ll but we have been SLAMMED busy. We had over 790 learners come though just in August! (Almost 2,000 contact hours!) Here are some pictures from our activities.

Does anyone have a cleaning protocol for Lucina’s IV system? We have had multiple different answers from the company and there does not appear to be a clear cut written instructions for cleaning. Thank you!

Some simulation centers create their own suture pads using a 3D printed mold and silicone. Although I have not tried to make this, I can see potential in using tubing with a bulb filled with “blood” (like the pulse creator in older CPR manikins) within the suture trainer. Might just have to give it a try!
