Abstract:
Building on prior the prior webinar Using Generative AI to Help Design Healthcare Simulation Scenarios, this webinar moves beyond a single app to examine the broader AI ecosystem shaping healthcare simulation. Rather than asking what tools are impressive, this CE session asks what tools actually improve clinical educational quality, efficiency, and safety. Participants will explore NotebookLM, Claude Opus 4.6, Claude Artifacts, and Gemini Gems as distinct cognitive partners, each with different strengths in knowledge synthesis, structured design, interactive prototyping, and personalized reasoning. The webinar will model how simulationists and technologists can tailor these tools to local program needs while maintaining alignment with established healthcare simulation standards, data integrity, and pedagogical rigor, while remaining mindful of the environmental impact of these tools. Through practical demonstrations and comparison cases, attendees will learn how to assemble complementary AI tools into a coherent workflow that enhances creativity without sacrificing accountability.
Learning Objectives:
- Review how AI tools can improve clinical education and training outcomes through better medical simulation scenario design.
- Compare how select AI tools generate, structure, and validate information, including what each tool is better or worse at for simulation scenario design, fidelity planning, and faculty workflow.
- Construct a transparent, reproducible pipeline for clinical simulation scenario development that preserves human faculty judgment, tracks sources, reduces hallucination risk, and aligns with established healthcare simulation standards.
